About the course

The Equator Principles (EPs) is a risk management framework, adopted by financial institutions, for determining, assessing and managing environmental and social risk in projects and is primarily intended to provide a minimum standard for due diligence and monitoring to support responsible risk decision-making.

This course is designed in 6 (six) modules. It is the basic version of the course "The Equator Principles; Environmental and Social Risks Assessment for Financial Institutions"

Learners will be exposed to basic knowledge needed before taking the advaced course. From important professional language to institutional framwork for EP and then the EP4 explained.

The course includes text, videos, charts, quizzes and other relevant learning materials.

The course materials are sourced from the publications of the IFC, Equator's Principles official publications, African Development Bank, other institutions and authorities.

A certificate is issued at course completion.
